If you require admin access to your CHI desktop this is the guide for you.



Step-by-step guide

  1. Submit a helpdesk ticket using the form at https://jira.hiru.swan.ac.uk/servicedesk/customer/portal/6/create/65 please explain why you require it.
  2. If your request has been approved then you may use the "Make Me Admin" application on your computer.


Using Make Me Admin

Launch the application and simply click on "Give Me Administrator Rights"

When you are done simply click on "Remove My Administrator Rights".

Elevating your account to have administrative permissions will mean extra logging will take effect, this extra logging stops when administrative permission are revoked.


Your admin rights will be taken away after 30 minutes, you may just reopen the app and click on "Give Me Administrator Rights"
