SAIL Project Database Schemas

Each SAIL project is made up of three database schemas:

SAIL schema (eg SAIL01234V)

This is the area where the project views are released. It contains all the data views that the project is approved to have access to. The project team has read-only access to this schema.

“X” schema (eg SAILX01234V)

This is the area where the project views are prepared. It contains single encrypted data and is only accessed by SAIL developers.

“W” schema (eg SAILW01234V)

This is the area where the project team can create tables, views and functions. The project team has read and write access to this schema.
