Basic Steps for Adding Users

  1. Log onto dsb.ukserp.ac.uk
  2. Click on Security
  3. Click on Users
  4. Click on Create New User

  1. Fill in the basic details and and click on on the Create New User button
  2. Fine the user in the list below and click on them to edit more of their details.
  3. Go to the Gateway Access tab and click the Edit button

  1. Make sure the Float Gateway Type is selected. Make sure Internal and External are ticked for Mobile Authenticator and click save
  2. Now click on Display QR Code

  1. The user will need to scan the qr code with an OTP app. We recommend FreeOTP which is available both on android and apple
  2. Scanning the code with the app will allow them to generate a unique code when they need to logon to the gateway.
  3. Note it's best they scan the code in person with you rather than sending the qr code to them otherwise they would be able to scan it into anybody's device.
  4. Note. That all the above is for mobile authenticator. If you wish to use yubikeys you will need to let us know so we can discuss this option.
  5. Next we need to add the user to the ELGH project
  6. Click on Projects then select the ELGH project and let it load

  1. Select the Roles tab and then click on the Analyst role

  1. Click on Add user to Role

  1. Start entering the user you wish to add to the role in the search box and select the one you want from the list of options it finds.
  2. Either go with the default start and end dates which will be the current date until the current end of the project or select your own if you wanted their access to be more time limited (note you can't set a date beyond the end of the project)
  3. Click Add. The user should be ready in about a minute but it sometimes can take upto 20 depending on synchronisation.
